Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Scrum Master to join our Scrum Management department in Gdansk. In this full-time hybrid role, you will be a pivotal leader, responsible for guiding one or two of our product development teams. Drawing on your previous leadership experience, you will foster a culture of self-organization, continuous improvement, and collaboration. As a servant-leader, you will be empowered to remove impediments, coach the team on Agile principles, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software. This is a key role that requires a strong technical background and the ability to work closely with Product Owners, developers, and management to drive product success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Oversee and guide one to two dedicated product line teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies effectively.
- Agile Coaching: Lead the Scrum and Development teams in the principles of self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and remove impediments, while coaching team members on how to resolve their own blockers to maintain flow.
- Framework Improvement: Help the Scrum and Development teams to identify and address gaps in their Agile framework, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to manage expectations around deadlines and ensure the successful delivery of product increments.
- Product Owner Support: Act as a coach and mentor to the Product Owner, providing support and education on Agile and Scrum principles where needed.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular management reports on team performance, progress, and key Agile metrics.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience working as a key member of a Scrum team.
- A Master’s degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field is required.
- Previous experience in a leadership role such as Project Manager or Development Manager is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a cross-functional technical team.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English for effective communication.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Professional experience or a strong background in trading software or the financial technology (Fintech) sector.
